DRIVING FOLK-POP WITH AN ETHEREAL DARK EDGE.
ORIGINAL AND HEARTFELT.

Felicity Cripps is a songwriter and performer.

Her solo project, Felicity Cripps Band (FCB) evolved during a musical hiatus that followed her move from the city to the small town of Castlemaine on Dja Dja Wurrung country. This became her first foray into solo territory, following a small hurricane of musical incantations and collaborations (HOY, Slow Galo, Houlette) across her former home-base in Naarm, Melbourne.

In 2017, FCB released their first full-length album, Introducing the FCB. Since then, Felicity has played locally and around the country, sometimes with the full band and most recently as a duo, with friend and musical collaborator, Alex Scott-Douglas. The duo has supported bands such as Models, Robert Forster, Rob Snarsksi and Lindy Morrison. They also appeared at the Townfolk Festival and Whole Loddon Love in '23.

In March 2024, FCB (duo) will join acclaimed Aussie song-writer and musician Don Walker, for the Victorian leg of his upcoming tour.

The first single from FCB’s newest album, Inside a Keyhole, has been described as “a gently floating ethereal bundle of joy that shimmers and sparkles under Cripps’s velvet vocals and the arpeggiated guitars and instrumentation.” Backseat Mafia

The full album due for release later in the year. This exciting new work was made with producer/engineer and long-time collaborator, Nick Huggins (Dirty Three, Jess Ribeiro, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Jen Cloher) and includes a line-up of stellar musicians from outfits such as Courtney Barnett and Don Walker. The making of the record was very much a collaborative project, the band adding velvety flesh to the bones of Felicity's carefully crafted songs.
